Evansville, IN – April 19, 2025 – The excitement is in full swing as Evansville East Youth Baseball officially celebrates Opening Day today, welcoming players, coaches, families, and fans to a new season of America’s favorite pastime.

The festivities began bright and early with Opening Day ceremonies starting at 8:00 a.m. CDT, bringing together teams from across various divisions, including Tee Ball, Minors, and Major Leagues. With a colorful lineup of teams like Bubba’s 33 (Purple) – Duran and Brackett Heating & Air (Purple), the fields were buzzing with energy as players took the field in full uniform and parents filled the stands.

The day is more than just about baseball—it’s a celebration of community, sportsmanship, and the spirit of youth athletics. Flags waved, team colors stood out across the ballfields, and cameras clicked as proud families captured the moments that mark the beginning of the spring season.

Following the morning ceremonies, the action continued with the first games of the season. Bubba’s 33 (Purple) – Duran took on Koch Enterprises (Royal) – Stansfield in an exciting matchup. Robbins Ward contributed to the win with a hit and a run scored, helping lead Bubba’s 33 to an 8–6 victory. The game was called early due to a storm that moved in suddenly during the later innings, but the energy on the field and in the stands remained electric.

From rookies stepping onto the diamond for the first time to seasoned youth veterans returning for another year, Opening Day sets the tone for a season full of teamwork, growth, and fun. With dozens of teams representing different colors and sponsors, including Navy (Maslan), Yellow (Kincaid), Black (Green), and Red (Nalley), it’s clear that Evansville East is thriving with participation and community support.

Here’s to a safe, successful, and fun-filled season of youth baseball!

Let’s play ball!
